Message Handling Rules
With
Microsoft Outlook XP
Quick and Easy Filtering – Putting Spam in a
Suspected Spam Folder
- Open Outlook and click on Tools, then Rules
Wizard.

2. Click on New to create a new Rule

3. Fill out the form as follows:
a. Start from a blank
rule
b. Check messages when
they arrive
c. Click Next

4. Check with specific words in the message header.
a. then click "specific words" in the bottom section.

5. Type in, XS: in the top textbox and click
Add. That will add the the text to the Search List below. Click OK.

6. Click Next. Now, check the box that says, move it to the
specified folder.
a. In the Rule description box, click on the word,
specified.

7. Highlight the Junk E-mail Folder. Make sure it's highlighted and click OK.

8. Your rule should now look like the one below. If so, click Finish.
